Classic Horror

Well, well, well, if this ain't right up my alley! Check out The Horrors of it All. Did you love hiding under the blankets with a flashlight and a classic horror comic when you were a kid and then being scared shitless to even get up and go to the bathroom? I know I did! Remember the Crypt Keeper (before he had a TV show,) the Vault Keeper and the Old Witch? Take a trip down memory lane with these old friends and more!

correction: Karswell doesn't post scans from EC comics, but he has plenty of other great stuff from that genre. Apologies for my mistake. I'm still looking over all the cool stuff he has on his site.

Anytime--I've been having great fun reading the old horror stories! My mother always tried to hide them from me to avoid their warping my tender young mind--but I was too sneaky and look how I turned out! >;-p

Just so your readers aren't confused by your mentioning of the EC hosts (Crypt Keeper, the Vault Keeper and the Old Witch), I do not post scans from EC comics, but instead focus on the countless other precode horror titles and publishers that have been greatly ignored throughout comic book history. EC has had hogged the spotlight for half a century, and of course they are rightfully one of the best, but it's time to give ACG, Ace, Harvey and some of the other bad boys a little exposure.

Thanks again!

I made a correction on the post. Sorry for the gaffe! I'm sure the folks that enjoy EC will also love the stuff you do have posted. I know I'm really getting into it! It's been a great trip back in time. Not that I'm old enough to remember those great comix in first run, but my father had several in his collection. Along with a lot of other underground goodies. I loved Vampirella! Too bad I didn't end up looking a damn thing like her--given the kind of stuff that I write it would have been great for my image. Sadly, I look much more like Paula Deen in reality.
